Serious accident on Asinara Island. Two Italian tourists on vacation were riding an electric golf cart when, while negotiating a curve on one of the hairpin bends of Cala del Bianco, they lost control of the vehicle, which flipped onto its side. The female driver ended up under the vehicle and, dragged for several meters, was seriously injured. The young woman suffered several fractures and was taken by the Areus air ambulance to the Santissima Annunziata hospital in Sassari with a code red.

The friend was also injured, but with less serious injuries. She was also transferred to the hospital with a yellow code.

The first to respond were the staff of the CISOM medical center, who, after providing initial treatment, handed the patients over to the medical staff of the 118 Areus emergency medical service. Carabinieri from the island station were also on site, on permanent duty, ready to provide support in case of emergency.
