More migrants on the coasts of southern Sardinia. This evening , approximately fifty were intercepted by Guardia di Finanza (Financial Police) vessels patrolling the Sardinian coast. Four small boats were intercepted south of Cape Teulada , also thanks to an air strike. Some of them, including three young children and their mothers, along with ten other young people, were escorted to the commercial port of Sant'Antioco, while the groups aboard the other boats were escorted to the port independently. Carabinieri, police, and shore personnel from the Guardia di Finanza and Coast Guard awaited them.

Also on site were the 118 volunteers from Calasetta who rescued a boy with a broken leg and then transported him to the Sirai hospital in Carbonia.

Frontex personnel and the Assosulcis civil protection organization, which brought water, were also present.

Meanwhile, two other small boats have been intercepted off the coast of southern Sardinia and transport operations are underway to the Sulcis coast.
