From strawberry trees to mulberries to medlars, passing through Judas trees, holm oaks, almond trees and citrus fruits, and arriving at carob trees, wild olive trees, pear trees, plum trees and pomegranate trees. From these specimens will emerge the population of 859 trees that Alb Spa, the company producing Smeraldina water , is ready to plant in Sardinia.

Not a random number, but the result of a reasoned calculation: the trees will offset the Co2 emission of the whole of 2021 , following the production of mineral water in PET. Going hand in hand with Smeraldina will be Alberea, a benefit company from Sassari already involved in the reforestation of the Mediterranean.

The planting, which takes into account the context and the territory on which they exist, will begin on an educational farm in Assemini, where the first 300 plants will be born . Then we will proceed throughout Sardinia until next January.

The plants "will concretely contribute to the health of the environment that hosts us", we read in a note, "to the sustainable development of the territory and to the increase in natural capital, producing flows of vital services which include the production of food and raw materials, purification of air, storage of Co2, creation of beauty and livable spaces, both for human users and for animals, wild and domestic. For the Tempio Pausania company, which has always had the protection of the environment and the territory at heart, this is", concludes the press release, "the first project of this kind, and it certainly won't be the last".
