A three-year-old girl in critical condition was urgently transferred from Cagliari to Rome aboard an Areus helicopter, the company that organized the lifesaving flight.
The little girl had been admitted in critical conditions to the Brotzu in Cagliari and the Pediatrics doctors immediately realized the urgency of transferring the little girl to the Bambino Gesù Pediatric Hospital, the largest pediatric hospital and research center in Europe, a point of reference for the health of children and teenagers from all over Italy and abroad.
The 118 operations centre in Cagliari, directed by Daniele Barillari, then activated the Elmas-based helicopter rescue service which immediately left for the Roman airport.
Missions of this type require maximum promptness, which is why Giuseppe Masnata, director of Pediatrics at Arnas Brotzu, wanted to thank the operations center, the helicopter rescue service and the entire Areus territorial emergency service for what they have done.
"I would like to express my most sincere gratitude to all the emergency service staff for the extraordinary commitment shown today in ensuring the transfer flight for a baby girl of only 3 months, in critical condition, from our pediatrics department to the Bambino Gesù hospital," writes Masnata, "each member of the team played a fundamental role, contributing with professionalism, dedication and sensitivity to an intervention that made the difference for the little girl and her family in such a delicate moment. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your tireless work and for the passion you put into rescuing and helping those in need."
