It was filling with water and risked sinking, hitting the rocks. A 14 meter motor boat was recovered by firefighters off the coast of Geremeas. I rescued the owner who was on board: he is fine.

The intervention of the firefighters was requested yesterday afternoon at 4pm by the Coast Guard who had received the SOS. Two inflatable boats and divers from the Naval Section arrived on site: using motor pumps, they emptied the water that had invaded the boat, preventing it from sinking.

The sea conditions, particularly rough due to the strong winds on the day, did not facilitate the rescue operations. The boat was towed to the small port of Capitana, while the owner was entrusted to the 118 rescuers who were waiting for him in the tourist port for the appropriate checks.
