14 fires in Sardinia, helicopters also in action

There are 14 fires registered today in Sardinia. For five of these, the Forestry Corps used not only teams on the ground but also aerial vehicles.

The emergencies were those of Villaurbana , in the locality of Pra Pinna, where the shutdown was coordinated by the personnel of the Forestry Corps Station of Villaurbana, with the personnel on board the helicopter coming from the CFVA base of Fenosu. The GAUF of Oristano and the Forestas Agency team from the Siapiccia construction site intervened on site. The flames covered an area of about two hectares of arable land. The firefighting operations ended at 2pm.

And again in Dolianova , Fondanedda locality, where the extinguishing was coordinated by the staff of the Forestry Corps Stations of Dolianova and Sinnai, assisted by the staff on board the helicopter from the Villasalto base. A team from the Forestas Agency from the Sa Pira shipyards and two teams of volunteers from the Sinnai and Settimo San Pietro associations were present. The fire covered an area of about five hectares of arable land and olive groves. The extinguishing operations are still in progress.

Flames also in Narcao , Punta Antoni Aresu area: the extinguishing was coordinated by the staff of the Carbonia Forestry Corps Station, assisted by the staff on board the helicopter from the CFVA base in Marganai. Volunteer teams from the Narcao/Terraseo and Villamassargia associations intervened on the spot.

The fire covered an area of approximately 0.14 hectares; 1200 m2 of stubble and 200 m2 of forest. The firefighting operations ended at 5pm.

Another fire in Bono , Tribides locality. The extinguishing operations were coordinated by the personnel of the Bono Forestry Station, assisted by the personnel on board the helicopter from the CFVA base in Anela. The fire covered an area of approximately 0.01 hectares.

Finally, a fire in the countryside of the Municipality of Lula in the Sanctuary of San Francesco, the extinguishing of which was coordinated by the staff of the Forestry Corps Station of Lula and by the GAUF of Nuoro, assisted by the personnel on board the helicopter from the CFVA base in Farcana . The teams of the Forestas Agency from the Siniscola-Corracuzza construction site intervened.
