A single text on gender violence, which focuses on the entire female universe, addressing all women's rights. This is what was announced by the Minister for Institutional Reforms Maria Elisabetta Alberti Casellati: «I have set up a technical table at my ministry , together with Minister Roccella , to draft a single text on gender violence. It will be an organic text that will start from education and training in schools to promote the culture of respect, up to dealing with the rules relating to the inclusion of women in the world of work». Casellati spoke in Milan during the event "Women in the crosshairs. Recognizing warning crimes to prevent violence. AI as a tool against gender violence".

"Economic independence, in fact, represents one of the fundamental prerequisites for allowing women to build their own freedom. Unfortunately, there are situations in which a woman suffers violence, not only physical but also psychological, within the family. In many cases, this violence manifests itself through continuous humiliation, such as hearing every day "You are worthless", "You always depend on others", words that fuel a deep self-esteem and personal debasement. Without an economic possibility, it becomes difficult for these women to move away from these situations of oppression - she said -. Today, fortunately, there are numerous centers that offer support: spaces where women can find protection, career guidance and paths to rebuild their lives. These interventions, together with job placement, represent a form of prevention, as are education and training".

"We will set up a table with which I hope, by March 8, to present the consolidated text on gender violence". This is what the Minister for Equal Opportunities and the Family Eugenia Maria Roccella said while speaking remotely at the event "Italia Direzione Nord" underway at the Triennale in Milan. The text, inspired "by the work of the bicameral commission", will be "a compilation - explains Roccella -. We will put together what already exists against violence against women, extending it to female empowerment tools".
