A failure to yield, a few insults, and an argument that seemed destined to end there. Instead, a few hours later, what had begun as a trivial argument between drivers escalated into a brawl that also involved the respective families, culminating in one of the contenders being stabbed in the leg.
The incident occurred in Cattolica (Rimini), and the Carabinieri are currently investigating the incident. The Corriere di Romagna reported the news. It all began late Friday afternoon, around 5:30 PM. Two drivers got into an argument over right-of-way on one of the city's streets. Insults were exchanged, but after a few minutes, the two drivers drove away. About two hours later, around 8:00 PM, the situation escalated, involving the drivers' families.
Amid the shouting and shoving, a knife was also found. One of the combatants was stabbed in the leg, sustaining a wound that raised the alarm. The Carabinieri responded to the scene to reconstruct what happened. Emergency personnel also arrived alongside the police and provided first aid to the injured man. The man was then taken to the hospital, where his leg wound was treated and stitched. His condition is not serious. According to initial reports, the people involved belonged to local families, and there were long-standing disagreements between the two families. Now it's up to the Carabinieri to clarify the dynamics and, more specifically, the roles of those involved in the brawl. Investigators are examining the testimonies of those present, images from surveillance cameras in the area, and the reconstruction of the moments leading up to the attack.
