A 26-year-old former teacher was subjected to special surveillance, with an obligation to stay in the municipality of Verona, for a series of harassment of pupils, including in particular an 11-year-old girl.

The precautionary measure was ordered by the Court of Venice, which accepted the proposal of the Veronese Police Commissioner Roberto Massicci. The addressee had already been subjected in November to a precautionary suspension decree ordered by the director of the Regional School Office for the Veneto and, in January, to a precautionary interdictory measure issued by the Court of Verona.

The man was serving as a teacher with a permanent contract in a kindergarten and primary school. The investigations had revealed physical and psychological suffering to the detriment of young girlfriends and students, conduct that culminated in an episode of sexual harassment against an 11-year-old girl.

The police investigations also made it possible to ascertain that, from 2018 to today, the suspect has engaged in persecutory behavior against two women, one of whom, also a minor, had been a pupil of his and with whom he had established a romantic relationship that lasted four years.

The Court of Venice applied the precautionary measure for one year and six months: the man will not be able to leave the territory of the municipality where he must serve the measure; he will not be able to leave the house before 7 or return home after 10 pm; naturally, he will not be able to approach the places frequented by the victims or communicate with them.
