In a few hours in Piedmont two people died in the house in flames . Episodes with different dynamics but both with a tragic end.

The first occurred in the Asti area, in Montaldo Scarampi, where a 57-year-old girl forgot a lit cigarette on the bed and was suffocated by the smoke that was given off by the fire from the mattress.

A neighbor raised the alarm and the firefighters forced the door, finding the body now lifeless. The prosecutor will decide tomorrow whether or not to order the autopsy.

The other victim is registered instead in a farmhouse near Mondovì , in the Cuneo area. From the first investigations it would be a 95 -year-old who lived alone in the hamlet of San Quintino and who was killed by an explosion probably caused by a LPG gas leak on the first floor of the building.

There is still no formal certainty about the identity of the elderly person because the body is devastated by burns; the answer is expected from the autopsy.
