In the aftermath of the May 1st holiday, when appeals were raised from many quarters for greater safety on construction sites and on the worrying number of "unrelated deaths" in Italy, unfortunately two new deaths at work were recorded.

The tragedies both occurred in the province of Naples. The first victim was in Lettere, where a 57-year-old worker, according to an initial reconstruction, fell from the third floor of a building around which a construction site was being set up. The accident occurred late in the morning, in via Depugliano where the police intervened.

The second fatal accident in Casalnuovo, where the military is trying to reconstruct the dynamics that led to the death of another 60-year-old worker who was working on a construction site in Viale dei Tigli.
