A 37-year-old man died in Trentino while on a hunting trip with two other friends.

The dramatic accident occurred near trail 610, which leads from Covelo di Terlago to the San Giacomo Pass, between Cima Canfedin and Monte Gazza.

After the three split up to retrieve their prey, the other two hunters were unable to contact their friend . After an hour of searching, they located him along a rocky gully, where he had likely tumbled for a few hundred meters due to the wet ground .

The Emergency Center requested the helicopter, while an operator from the Trento Monte Bondone station of the Trentino Alpine and Speleological Rescue and two others from the Molveno station made themselves available at their respective stations. Hoisted to the scene along with the helicopter rescue technician, the doctor could only confirm the man's death.

Once the authorities gave the go-ahead to remove the man's body, the man's body—reassembled and loaded onto the helicopter with the help of two rescuers from the Molveno Station, who had meanwhile been removed from the aircraft and raised to altitude—was airlifted to the Terlago sports field, in the presence of the Vallelaghi Carabinieri and the Volunteer Fire Brigade.
