Amidst twists and turns, denials, and new interrogations, the investigation into the Pietracatella mystery continues, the small Molise town that has been in the news for months. Investigators are working tirelessly to determine who, in the days leading up to last Christmas, killed mother and daughter Antonella Di Ielsi and Sara Di Vita by poisoning them with ricin.

Today at the police station, new interrogations were held, this time involving two women, relatives of a local couple who are friends with the Di Vita family. And, just as the Flying Squad was taking new depositions, rumors began circulating in some media outlets about a possible breakthrough, sparked by the web , involving the acquisition of the IP address from which ricin was allegedly searched online. The reports mentioned the identification of the computer, connected to the Pietracatella area, from which research on how to make ricin powder was allegedly conducted. This "coup de théâtre" lasted only a few minutes. Both Larino prosecutor Elvira Antonelli and the head of the Flying Squad, Marco Graziano, denied the reports in messages sent directly to journalists. "We have no news to that effect."

Later that evening, more information was released about the searches conducted two days ago in Pietracatella and Campobasso, at Gianni Di Vita's two offices and his new home in the town.

Tg1 revealed details about the items seized by the officers. In addition to Antonella's bag, which contained photos of her daughters and work notes, among other things, there was also the novel "Tiro al piccione" by Molise writer Giose Rimanelli, as well as a cell phone and a USB stick. All this while the results of tests currently underway at the Robert Koch Institute in Berlin are still awaited.

Germany, in fact, is awaiting crucial answers regarding the possible presence of ricin in the artefacts and food items seized from the Pietracatella house. As has been the case for months, further interviews are scheduled at the police station in the coming days, and further searches are also possible.

Nine months after the double homicide , the investigation still remains without any suspects, while five doctors are under investigation in the first strand, the manslaughter charge opened immediately after the deaths of the two women following hospitalizations.
