«In the end we are satisfied with the statement read by Amadeus. Of course, before 5pm we still thought we could deliver that letter on stage. We also thought about a blitz in the press room. But just to show that we were clean, independent guys who just wanted to make the problems of the Italian countryside known."

These are the words of Fabio Pitzalis , a farmer from Guasila, Sardinian representative of the tractor movement group who has been in Sanremo for a few days precisely to make known, through the festival showcase, the reasons for the protest.

«No regrets: even if the message passed even if it was “only” read by Amadeus », said Pitzalis. «It wasn't a dangerous or destabilizing statement, it didn't point the finger at anyone. He was talking about us. But also of the fact that what concerns agriculture in Italy ultimately concerns all Italians, not just those who work in the countryside."

And now? «Now we can't give up - says Pitzalis - this evening I return to Sardinia, tomorrow I'll take a look at the company. And then we continue. Tuesday will be two weeks of fighting in Sardinia. Stopping now would mean throwing away what has already been done . Now we plan the next initiatives also by consulting the national coordination."
