For four days they worked amid high water and mud, to rescue human and animal lives threatened by the flood that devastated Emilia Romagna.

The firefighters of Sassari landed this morning at the port of Olbia, who on May 18 had left for the Ravenna area to support the rescue operations after the heavy rain.

The teams from the island operated mainly in the municipalities of Russi and Conselice, among the most affected in the region.

The images of their interventions are impressive: the water, as can be seen from the marks left on the walls, reached a height of three metres, submerging everything.
