The alleged driver of the truck who fled yesterday evening in the Reggio Emilia area after losing the load of scaffolding which hit three cars, causing two deaths, one very seriously injured and four other less serious injuries, was tracked down and arrested by the Guastalla police.

The man, a 39-year-old from Reggio Emilia, refused to undergo an alcohol test. He was driving with a suspended license which had been revoked in August for driving under the influence .

He is accused of vehicular homicide, grievous bodily harm and escape from an accident in the event of homicide and injury, he is now at the disposal of the Prosecutor's Office directed by Gaetano Paci.

Yesterday in the late afternoon the tragic accident on provincial road 111: the truck lost its load of scaffolding which hit several cars . Two boys aged 19 and 21 died, five were injured, a 21-year-old who was in the car with the two victims is in very serious conditions.
