The pusher who sold the drug to Libero De Rienzo goes to trial: this was decided by the GUP of Rome after it was shown that the actor was killed on July 15 last year by "acute intoxication" from heroin that caused him Gambian drug dealer Mustafa Minte Lamin had sold him a few hours earlier.

For him, therefore, the heavy charge of "death as a consequence of another crime": the trial was set for next April 6 in front of the single judge. The prosecutors of piazzale Clodio also contest the crimes of possession and sale of drugs against him.

THE ARREST - It was August 28, a month and a half after the death of the actor from "Fortapasc", when the pusher was arrested at the end of an intense investigation carried out by the carabinieri. According to what emerged from the investigations, Lamin had sold the killer substance to De Rienzo twenty-four hours before when he was found, lifeless, in his home in the Madonna del Riposo area in Rome for "cardiorespiratory arrest due to acute heroin poisoning".

The tests revealed that De Rienzo had also taken cocaine and anxiolytics in those hours which, however, would not be the cause of death: it was heroin that killed him.

Traces of the Gambian were then lost: the investigators carried out checks in the environment of the drug dealing in the areas adjacent to the place of death, managing to reconstruct some connections that led them to the south-west quadrant of the capital, in particular in the popular district of Torre Angela where the drug dealer was arrested.

Lamin was arrested in the act of committing a crime, an additional 7.7 grams of heroin were seized at the time of his arrest.

To nail the arrested person, who sold the drug "at home", was also the analysis of the telephone records which made it possible to identify the position of the drug dealer right near the home of the Neapolitan actor. The checks carried out on De Rienzo's smartphone made it possible to reconstruct the contacts made in the two days preceding the tragic death and, perhaps, to identify the user used by the drug dealer.
