Since last night Massimo Adriatici, lawyer and former councilor for security of the Municipality of Voghera (Pavia), has been free again since last July 20, when he killed Youns El Boussettaoui, a 38-year-old Moroccan during a struggle. .

The precautionary measure, issued with the accusation of culpable excess of self-defense, has lost its effectiveness and Adriatici has returned to freedom. The former councilor has resumed his activity as a lawyer a few weeks ago, even in court but not in the Court of Pavia for reasons of expediency.

The three months spent under house arrest represented the maximum period of restriction of freedom for the accusation of culpable excess of legitimate defense challenged by the Prosecutor's Office. At the moment, therefore, the possibility of changing the charge into murder seems to have disappeared, as requested by the lawyers of El Boussettaoui's family members, the lawyers Marco Romagnoli and Debora Piazza. In fact, the Pavia Public Prosecutor's Office is preparing to close the investigation, confirming the charge made immediately after the arrest.

According to the Adriatici investigators he would have shot not voluntarily, but after being attacked and ended up on the ground. Even the testimonies and the ballistic report confirm: the shot was fired while the former councilor was on the ground.

In the days immediately following the killing of the 38-year-old, a first video was recorded, taken by another surveillance camera, in which the immigrant is seen approaching Adriatici and, after a brief discussion, hit him with a fist: the images show the former councilor falling to the ground, but not the moment he shoots the victim.
