The Contini clan, a ranking member of the "Secondigliano Alliance", kept a hospital under control.

This was discovered by the Carabinieri of the Investigative Unit of Naples who, coordinated by the DDA, are carrying out 11 arrests (8 in prison and 3 under house arrest) and several seizures against members of the criminal organization operating in the Neapolitan capital, precisely in the San Giovanniello neighbourhood. , Borgo San Antonio Abate, Railway, Vasto-Arenaccia, Stadera-Poggioreale and Rione Amicizia.

Already in 2019, the Contini clan ended up at the center of a maxi operation that involved the entire Secondigliano Alliance, including the Licciardi and Mallardo families, during which 126 measures were notified by the Carabinieri, Police, Guardia di Finanza and Dia. precautionary measures (89 in prison and 36 under house arrest and a residence ban in Campania) together with a seizure of assets throughout Italy worth 130 million euros.

The investigators also managed to outline the relationships with the other clans of the Neapolitan criminal galaxy. The clan had also fictitiously registered two car rental companies to frontmen specifically recruited and paid to evade any seizure measures. The investigation returned the alarming picture that had already emerged in 2019 in relation to the San Giovanni Bosco hospital where the clan still influenced the functional management of the hospital structure which falls within the area of influence of the criminal organisation.
