The barbecue in the garden "pollutes": a 200 euro fine for a 30-year-old

"On a public holiday declared by the Emilia-Romagna Region with an anti-smog emergency measure, he used the barbecue to grill meat".

With this motivation, a 30-year-old of Calabrian origin who was fined in Bologna by the local police, who intervened to interrupt a barbecue with friends on Sunday 19 March.

The news is reported by the Corriere della Sera.

The police, who intervened for a check, would therefore have rigorously applied the ordinance which in the Emilian capital prohibits, from the beginning of October until the end of April, not only the circulation of the most polluting diesel vehicles and old petrol cars, but also to produce fumes, for example with «open combustion».

This was considered the barbecue organized by the sanctioned 30-year-old in the garden of the house.

The offender now has two options: pay the fine quickly in a reduced amount or file an appeal.
