Taulant Malaj , the 45-year-old Albanian baker who killed his 16-year-old daughter yesterday in Torremaggiore (Foggia) and his neighbor made spontaneous statements admitting the double homicide .

While husband and wife were in bed, the woman allegedly started chatting with someone. The man, suspicious, would have seen the woman's phone and discovered that she was chatting with her neighbor , Massimo. After a while he left the house and waited for Massimo to come home from the bar. As soon as the man entered the door, he stabbed him to death. In fact, Malaj told the prosecutor - the lawyers report - that he first killed Massimo, then went up to the house where he began to stab his wife and then his daughter, who was trying to shield her mother.

"At that moment, blinded by anger - the defenders report - he did not realize that he was facing his daughter and started hitting her ". The two lawyers speak of "a strong bond between the confessed offender and his own children", the 16-year-old and a 5-year-old boy. Yet, according to the video he shot on the neighbors' Whatsapp chats, he was also looking for his other little son to kill him: "It's not over, he said". The 5-year-old boy saved himself by hiding behind the sofa .

Last December Malaj was hired as a baker in the "Latartara" bakery: «He always worked, even when he had finished his shift, he never stopped. It was all work and family,” his colleagues told reporters.
