The administration of the Novavax vaccine has begun in Italy

The first administrations of the new Novavax vaccine in Italy began yesterday. Five regions are involved: Lombardy, Emilia Romagna, Piedmont, Veneto and Sicily. Today it is the turn of Calabria, Lazio, Liguria, Val D'Aosta, Umbria and Campania. The drug is available to anyone over the age of 18 and have not received any doses so far. The recall is at 21 days.

The preparation is protein-based, ie made with traditional technology, in theory considered safer by the so-called "no-vax".

Two days ago 27,900 doses of Novaxovid arrived in Sardinia and were delivered by the commissioner structure led by General Francesco Figliuolo to the Public Hygiene service of the Cagliari Local Health Authority to then start sorting in the other territories.
