The two-year-old child hit by a stray bullet is awake and breathing alone , on the evening of August 15th, while he was looking out the window of his home with his parents, in Bresciano

The prognosis remains confidential , but doctors are optimistic about the evolution of his condition.

The little boy underwent emergency surgery immediately after arriving, in critical condition, at the Papa Giovanni XXIII hospital in Bergamo.

To fire the shot that reached the little one a security guard who was in the street and who, with his adult nephew and a friend of the boy, was shooting at some road signs.

The man is being investigated for very serious injuries . For the two young people, the investigators evaluate the contestation of the crime of carrying and illegal use of firearms in public.

THE RECONSTRUCTION - According to what has been reconstructed so far by the carabinieri, the man and the two young men would, in turn, shoot for a long time with the man's pistol, legally detained, in the direction of some road signs and against a pole, in a game over almost in tragedy .

The residents in the area had not become suspicious hearing the gunshots, because they had initially mistaken them for firecrackers detonated to celebrate August 15th. Someone, however, looking out the window witnessed a dramatic scene. "I heard the father scream 'you killed him, you killed my son' and I saw the mother running in the street with the baby in her arms" said a neighbor from the Moroccan family of the little boy, father, mother and another four-year-old son.

It is not clear if the gunshot was fired in the air or if the bullet first hit a pole and then ricocheted the child at the window.

The Prosecutor's Office intends to arrange a ballistic report to accept the trajectory of the cartridge case. Just some shells, after yesterday evening, would have been deliberately removed from the street and made to disappear and only after hours the carabinieri recovered them at the house of the security guard.
