The turning point could come in the next few hours on the death of Dario Angeletti , associate professor of the University of Tuscia, probably killed with a gunshot yesterday afternoon in Tarquinia, in the province of Viterbo.

Thanks to the videos of some cameras, which from a distance frame the parking lot where Angeletti's body was found (sitting in the driver's seat, with his seat belt still fastened and bloodied), there is a suspect.

A camera, positioned not far from the point of the square where the victim's car was found, could have caught a second vehicle arriving or leaving. On the ground, investigators found skid marks from the victim's car. It is not excluded, therefore, that Angeletti tried to escape.

The military is digging into the life of the 50-year-old teacher and are hard at work reconstructing how and with whom he spent his last hours. Checks will also be carried out on the mobile phone to trace the latest contacts. In the meantime, perhaps as early as tomorrow, an autopsy will be performed on Angeletti's body. The autopsy exam will establish exactly what the cause of death is and whether the head injury found on the body was caused by a gunshot not yet found.

Angeletti, the son of a doctor from Tarquinia, was married and had two children. He was well known and respected in the town of Tuscia where he lived and worked. Since 2010 he has been teaching applied ecology and protection of the marine environment at the University of Civitavecchia. His work also took place in the ecology laboratory and experimental ichthyogenic center at the Saline di Tarquinia, a short distance from the place where his body was found lifeless.
