The largest coffee chain in the world launches a new line of oil-based drinks: it will debut in the company's cafes as early as this week in Italy, in the United States in the spring.
The Wall Street Journal reports it.
The drinks in the new “Oleato” line will include an oat milk with extra virgin olive oil and a cold drink topped with an oil-based “golden foam”.
Oil that will also be added to the famous Iced Shaken Espresso.
"It will be the most significant and innovative project we've built in decades," said interim chief executive officer Howard Schultz. The price of the drinks will vary according to the countries where they will be sold: in Italy they will cost between 5 and 6 euros, depending on the size.
