She killed her partner, who had been ill for some time due to the effects of a stroke, first by stabbing him in bed with a knife, which proved non-fatal, and then by suffocating him with a pillow. She then ran out into the street, raised the alarm, and was arrested.

The tragedy occurred on the night between August 14th and 15th in Via Pomposa, in the Corvetto area of Milan.

Antonia Nunzia Mancini, 64, is charged with the murder of her seventy-three-year-old partner Vincenzo Ferrigno, with whom she had lived for 40 years. The motive for the crime appears to have been her partner's physical condition.

She herself called the police and confessed.
