The owner of a pig farm in Zinasco, in the Pavia area, and a veterinarian of the company are being investigated by the Pavia prosecutor's office on the suspicion of not having reported the first cases of suspicious animal deaths that occurred at the beginning of August, thus causing an outbreak of swine fever. The news was given today by the newspaper "La Provincia Pavese".

The two have already been heard by the investigators. The pig farms located in the vicinity of the one where the infection occurred have been seized.

In Zinasco there are two outbreaks of swine fever so far ascertained.
