The expedition to Rome started early in the morning. A group of Sardinian environmentalists, opposed to the Portovesme regasification plant and against Saras emissions, held a sit-in in front of the Ministry of Ecological Transition, where the next energy future of Italy in post-decarbonisation is decided.

Present the associations Donne Ambiente Sardegna, Sardegna Pulita, Donne in Nero, Usb Sardegna, Wilpf Italia and Società della cura Sardegna.

The demonstrators managed to deliver a document with their requests to a collaborator of Minister Roberto Cingolani. “We are thinking of the madness of a regasifier in Portovesme - reads the document - while in Livorno the regasifier is located 22 kilometers from the coast. A work very close to the town and which would preclude any other activity ".

Another point touched by the associations concerns Saras di Sarroch. <"Faced with climate-altering emissions from petrochemicals - reads the document - what does the Ministry propose?".

Among the environmentalists in sit-in there is also Angelo Cremone. “These are fundamental issues, silences are not admissible, nor choices that are harmful to the territories. On the no to the gasifier, for example, there is also a letter from the Municipality of Portoscuso, to which the Minister has not yet replied ”.
