Sardinia queen of Airbnb for summer 2024 . The travel trends reported by the famous portal dedicated to finding short-term rental accommodation highlight how the Island is increasingly sought after , with data growing by 28.3% compared to the same period last year .

The data, as reported by Massimo Cossu, Community Manager Airbnb Sardinia, are "constantly increasing", and " the average stay of guests is 3.7 nights, higher than the national average" .

« Research for internal areas , the less traveled ones, is also growing – Cossu further specifies – but more must be done for example on rural areas, religious routes, villages where there are travelers ready to choose Sardinia to live the experience of internal areas, slow and local tourism".
