Seven pre-trial detention orders were carried out by the Carabinieri of the Cantù operating and mobile unit against as many under investigation for a series of robberies in supermarkets.

The measures concern a group, including women, residing in Como, Lissone (Monza and Brianza), Limbiate (Monza and Brianza) and Rho (Milan).

The investigation was launched in December 2020, after a series of close "blows" against some shops in the large distribution of Como, committed by two or three armed people with their faces covered. A gang was identified which from time to time changed "formation" and which acted with "professionalism, systematicity and a tested internal organization".

Before taking action, moreover, the preparation was meticulously taken care of, with the neutralization of the alarm system.

Six market robberies and one in the street attributed to the group. Four thefts also alleged. One of the suspects, the investigators add, took part in the shots despite being under house arrest.
