The investigations, coordinated by the District Anti-Mafia Directorate of Potenza, through the reconstruction of all phases of the protest, made it possible to trace the identity of all the detainees involved.

That day only after a great deal of work and a long negotiation by the Public Security Authority and the police was it possible to free the hostages and take the prisoners back to their cells. During the negotiation, the rioters drew up a document of requests and claims.

Now they will have to answer for the crimes of kidnapping for the purpose of coercion and devastation, for which a request for indictment has already been made before the judge of the preliminary hearing in Potenza. The execution of the precautionary measures also took place in the provinces of Potenza, Bari, Crotone, Reggio Calabria, Naples, Perugia, Livorno, L'Aquila, Cuneo, Catanzaro, Agrigento, Palermo, Udine, Syracuse and Catania. The operation was conducted by the Flying Squad of Potenza, with the coordination of the Central Operational Service of the State Police and the support and collaboration of the Penitentiary Police Departments.
