Posing as a gynecologist, he contacted and terrorized 400 women by inducing them to carry out gynecological examinations online.

The Police, delegated by the Taranto Prosecutor's Office, carried out a search of a 40-year-old man accused of sexual violence.

The man, using a ploy to hide his phone number, made his interlocutors understand that he was aware of clinical tests carried out in various health facilities throughout Italy and told them that they were probably suffering from serious vaginal infections, thus pushing them to do gynecological examinations online.

Numerous women have filed a complaint with the Postal Police. The investigators arrived at the 40-year-old by analyzing telephone and telematic data, carrying out checks on audio files of the telephone calls recorded by the victims.

There are over 400 victims throughout Italy, whose data would have been obtained from consulting portals of online sales announcements.

During the search taken this morning, smartphones, memory media and sim cards were seized.
