The police had found almost a kilo of marijuana in her apartment and in the first instance the woman, a 52-year-old teacher, was sentenced to 16 months, sentence now overturned on appeal with full acquittal because the defense has shown that the drug he held, and above all cultivated in his Milan apartment, was intended for personal use , specifically to find relief from the excruciating pain caused by a chronic disease .

The agents, as Il Corriere explains today in the pages of the local news, had arrived at his house, in the Casoretto district, after a series of anonymous reports which, we read in the trial documents, had reported that a lot of grass was spinning there. The search revealed shredded cannabis leaves packaged in 740-gram packets and three plants with their irrigation system .

At the trial, the lawyer had claimed that the drug was used by her client to endure pain and spasms, as a doctor had prescribed. The lawyer had also produced a forensic report, but the conviction had arrived.

During the appeal, the lawyer requested and this time obtained acquittal, also based on a sentence of the Supreme Court. For the professor, therefore, "the fact does not exist".
