"Help your dad in the shop." For these words Ivan Disar , a 49-year-old Ukrainian, was killed in the bakery in Piazzale Gambara by Raffaele Mascia, the 21-year-old of Sardinian origin , son of the owner of the shop, originally from Oristano.
On Saturday shortly after 6:00 p.m., Ivan, a regular customer of the bakery who was in the shop with a fellow countryman and a Moldovan friend, essentially called the young man a tramp. He was tipsy.
Raffaele Mascia could no longer see, he went out the back of the bakery, climbed to a mezzanine above the shop and took the .38 caliber pistol with which he fired the six shots that killed Disar and wounded his compatriot . A katana and an electronic stun gun were also hidden in that same place.
The 21-year-old is a troubled boy: passionate about boxing and martial arts, he has a criminal record for drug dealing and resistance. During his adolescence he spent a period in a community for minors, he had distanced himself from his family. He had recently found work as an electrician, and apparently he slept in that loft where he kept the gun. Why did he have a gun? "Because it's the law of the street," he told investigators .
