The owner of the lido-restaurant in Soverato, in the province of Catanzaro, accused by one of his former employees of not having paid her the fee for her work as a dishwasher - with a video posted on social media - is under investigation for personal injury, threats and theft .

The 25-year-old Nigerian reported him to the carabinieri. In the images she can be seen while, once inside the restaurant, she asks for the payment of the fees, but the situation degenerates to a physical confrontation.

"I am sorry to have used verbal violence on the girl and to have used force to get her out of her chair and invite her to leave the room to make me set the room and thus give me the opportunity to work - said the man - It was a moment of anger arising from the previous hours, during which I had begged her to let me work, but I didn't even touch it. I have been in this business for 11 years and in all this period I have given work to dozens of people with whom I have never had problems ".

According to the lawyer Filomena Pedullà, the girl's lawyer, "accounting evaluations are underway and the investigators are examining the data relating to the contract and the verbal agreement between the parties. The 25-year-old was sent a bank transfer of 200 euros when he was agreed a fee of 600 euros ".

The woman has been in Italy for five years and is the mother of a 4-year-old girl.
