Don Francesco Spagnesi, the forty-year-old priest arrested a week ago in Prato for drug trafficking and embezzlement, is also being investigated for attempted very serious injuries.

This was announced by the prosecutor, who formulated the hypothesis of a crime in relation to the priest's HIV-positive status.

It seems that the man did not mention his condition with some of the participants in the parties he would have organized with his partner. The new dispute does not concern the latter, which would instead be a possible offended party.

At the parties, according to what was reported yesterday in the guarantee interrogation by Fr Spagnesi, 20 or 30 people would have participated regularly.

Two of these, according to investigators, have already stated that they are HIV positive.

Even the social dangerousness of the possible behavior of the former parish priest of Castellina, therefore, prompted the prosecutor to investigate the priest also for the new accusation hypothesis.

Meanwhile, today a new search was carried out against the religious in the house where he lived with his companion.
