Pope Francis's night at the Policlinico Gemelli passed peacefully without any particular news, the third after his hospitalization last Friday for a recurrence of bronchitis and a respiratory tract infection. This is what emerges from the rooms of the Policlinico Universitario, where Francis is spending these days on the tenth floor, in the room reserved for Popes. While waiting for an update on the evolution of his hospitalization, what was communicated yesterday afternoon remains for now , that is, that the clinical conditions of the Pontiff "are stationary" and "the diagnostic and therapeutic process prescribed by the medical staff is continuing."

Yesterday morning, Bergoglio followed on TV the mass celebrated in his place by Cardinal José Tolentino de Mendonça for the Jubilee of Artists, in which the homily he had prepared was read, while in the afternoon he "alternated reading with rest". Even for the Angelus, Francis limited himself to sending the text, in which he explained: "I still need some treatment for my bronchitis" . The Pope thanked both the medical staff and the many who sent him messages of speedy recovery: "I thank you for the affection, prayer and closeness with which you are accompanying me in these days", he wrote on X.

Today, as is known, the Pope's visit to Cinecittà for the Jubilee of Artists has been canceled. At the moment there are no predictions yet on Francis' return to the Vatican, to Casa Santa Marta , which in any case should not happen before the middle of the week.
