In the next few days, hundreds of thousands of Italians over 50 who have not undergone the compulsory anti-Covid vaccination will receive the first fines from the Revenue-Collection Agency.

After the reports sent by the Ministry of Health and the necessary checks, the first 600 thousand letters were prepared and delivered to the Post Office, which is expected to ship between Friday and Monday. These are "communications for the initiation of the sanctioning procedure", which do not immediately require the payment of the envisaged sanction (100 euros, based on the provisions of the Covid decree 1/2022 of last January 8).

In fact, as required by law, the recipient has 10 days to communicate any reasons for exemption from the vaccine to their competent ASL. After this period without having indicated the reasons for your no-vax choice, the legislation provides that the Revenue-Collection Agency sends the actual sanction within 180 days, in practice within six months.

When fully operational, about 100 thousand folders a day should be sent, while according to estimates there are a total of about 2 million Italians over 50 who will find the offense in the mailbox.
