Two religious fanatics accused of having participated in the family massacre which took place in Altavilla Milicia (Palermo), where Giovanni Barreca killed his wife and two children "to free them from Satan" .

Their names are Massimo Caradente and Sabrina Fina , they were stopped yesterday by the police and must answer, like the 54-year-old bricklayer who confessed to the crimes, to charges of multiple murder and suppression of a corpse .

The couple would have met Barreca during prayer meetings in an evangelical church. The relationship between the two and Barreca fueled the mystical obsession of the bricklayer, who is also a religious fanatic. The two are both from Palermo and , according to the investigators, they were the ones who instigated him to kill his family members to free the house from demonic presences . They would also have participated in the crimes.

The man killed his wife Antonella Salamone and their children Kevin and Emanuel, aged 16 and 3 . He did it because he felt demonic presences in the house. The couple's 17-year-old daughter survived the massacre and is now entrusted to a community. The girl lived with her murderous father for days.

She would have been the one to accuse the other two arrested: "They performed an exorcism to banish the devil" , she said.

On the night between Saturday and Sunday it was Barreca who called the police: "I killed my family, come and get me." In the house the soldiers immediately found the bodies of the children, strangled, one even tied to a chain. The remains of his wife were found burned and buried a short distance from the house: perhaps she was killed several days ago, the children on Friday . Barreca and his surviving daughter, found in shock in another room, would therefore have spent days with the bodies in the house .

The police reached the stopped couple not only thanks to the testimonies, but also through the analysis of the bricklayer's cell phones.
