The 30-year-old suspected of the murder of Giovanna "Jenny" Cantarero , the 27-year-old shot dead in an abandoned farmhouse in the Campo di Mare district of Catania, was found dead in the late evening of 10 last December in a street on the outskirts between Misterbianco and Catania.
The man allegedly took his own life with a firearm. On the spot the carabinieri of the provincial command investigating the murder.
The 30-year-old had a relationship, defined by those who knew them as "stormy", with the victim. Investigators specify that it is not the ex, with whom the woman had a baby girl.
The young woman was waiting for her mother in the street that evening, after the work shift, when she was approached by a hooded man who shot her in the face with a gun. A colleague from Cantarero witnessed the crime, in shock. Suspicions immediately focused on the 30-year-old body found.
