The Cassino prosecutor asked for a 24-year sentence for Marco Mottola for the murder of Serena Mollicone, murdered on June 1, 2001 in the Arce carabinieri barracks.

According to the prosecutors, it is he, the son of the former commander of the Arce Franco barracks, who killed.

Instead, he asked for 30 years for his father Franco and 21 for Anna Maria , Marco Mottola's mother. The other two defendants instead: asked 15 years for the lieutenant Vincenzo Quatrale accused of external concurrence in murder and 4 years for the police officer Francesco Suprano who was challenged for aiding and abetting.

During the indictment , the prosecutor Beatrice Siravo said that Marco Mottola was the perpetrator of the murder , which took place inside the Arce barracks as evidenced by numerous tests and the various surveys carried out.

The prosecutor also spoke of the suicide of Santino Tuzi , who took his own life with a gunshot to the head on April 11, 2008, a week after telling the Prosecutor that he saw Serena enter the Arce barracks on the day of the homocide.

He committed suicide because he was left alone ”, he said, “if Santino hadn't committed suicide, since no one confirmed his statements, he would have gone to trial for the murder as happened to Carmine Belli. I would like to rehabilitate Santino's image. He was the only one who broke the wall of silence and paid for his statements with his life ”.
