Segregated, beaten, threatened and raped for years, held prisoner in the guest quarters of a riding school on the extreme northern outskirts of Rome.

The victim was a German girl, 17 years old at the time, tortured by her boyfriend at the time, ten years older than her, and by her friend, now 39 years old. The two, both Pakistani, were arrested on charges of sexual assault, kidnapping, personal injury and mistreatment. The ex-boyfriend took a plea deal, while his friend is still on trial.

The story dates back to 2021 when the young woman, of German origin and who arrived in Italy to follow her boyfriend, managed to free herself from those who turned into her tormentors, asking for help from a passer-by in a moment of distraction , and to report the violence against the police.

She told the military about the abuse and the two Pakistanis, who had stolen her phone and documents, were arrested. They were blocked by the police near the house where the girl was allegedly forced to stay for two years.

They "beat her violently and threatened her every time the girl expressed her intention to leave - we read in the indictment -, keeping her segregated and locked in the bedroom and preventing her from going out alone". In the hearing in which the 39-year-old is accused, some employees of the riding school were heard who told the judge that they had never noticed the situation and that they were unaware that the girl was a minor at the time.
