The CP324 patrol boat of the Coast Guard has recovered a body after a Sar (Search and Rescue) intervention for a boat that sank off the coast of Lampedusa.

There are 31 people rescued (among them 8 women and 2 minors) , originating from Guinea, Ivory Coast and Congo. According to the declarations of the migrants, 36 or 38 left the Tunisian city of Sfax and therefore 4 or 6 are missing.

The same patrol boat , before rescuing the 31, assisted 38 other people , including 10 women and 3 minors, who were on a 5-metre iron boat. The landings recorded since midnight on the Sicilian island rise to 12, with a total of 347 migrants.
