New landing of migrants in Lampedusa. And this time, 686 people arrived on the Italian coast aboard a 15-meter fishing boat that landed last night at the commercial pier.

The disembarkation operations, which include a first medical triage, ended just before one in the morning. The migrants come from Egypt, Chad, Morocco, Syria, Bangladesh, Sudan, Nigeria, Ethiopia and Senegal: five were taken to the island's outpatient clinic because they needed treatment.

The fishing boat, intercepted by patrol boats eight miles from the coast, left Zuwara, in Libya.

The passengers were taken to the hotspot of the island where, at the moment, there are 1,091 people in front of the 250 seats available.
