Among the new Alfieri there are also two young people who come from Sardinia. The other girl awarded is Aya Jedidi, born in 2009 and resident in Maracalagonis, “for having helped and favored the integration of a classmate from Morocco and lacking knowledge of the Italian language. She, who speaks both Italian and Arabic, has become a 'bridge' for the teachers and for the other classmates. Always with great availability and courtesy. Aya - explains the document - was born into a family of Moroccan origins, therefore she understands and speaks the Arabic language fluently. Thanks to this knowledge, from the beginning of the school year, the very young Aya helped a partner who had just arrived from Morocco who neither spoke nor understood the Italian language. For her he translated lessons from various disciplines, both during the distance teaching and on the days of attendance in the classroom, actually playing the role of 'linguistic intermediary'. Aya was a precious bridge for teachers and classmates, always ready to offer clarifications or explanations, in didactic contexts as in recreational ones. Her impulse of solidarity through spontaneous and kind gestures won her comrades and for this reason she is recognized as a model of good behavior ".
