Inail has calculated the compensation to be paid to the relatives of Luana D'Orazio, the young worker who died last May 3 while working in a textile company in Montemurlo, in the Prato area, at 166 thousand euros.

However, the company's insurance compensation is still being calculated.

The Prosecutor's Office of Prato has asked for the indictment of the three suspects in the investigation into the 22-year-old's death: Luana Coppini, owner of the company, her husband Daniele Faggi whom the prosecution considers de facto owner of the company and Mario Cusimano, the technician external maintainer of the company.

They are accused of manslaughter and willful removal of accident prevention precautions.

The girl died crushed in the warper, the machine she was in charge of and which according to the prosecution had the safety devices deactivated to increase production.

“I didn't know anything about that tampering. I also work in the factory, my fault was that of not having supervised enough ", underlines Luana Coppini, repeating what she had already said to the prosecutor during the interrogation under guarantee and what her lawyers, Barbara Mercuri and Alberto Rocca.

“Mine is a family business, we help each other, we talk, we try to solve problems - explained the woman -. I don't know who did the tampering, among other things it was useless both in terms of production and earnings ".

In view of the preliminary hearing, Coppini made it known that he had written a letter to the insurance company, which has not yet expressed itself on the compensation to the victim's family.
