The body of the 45-year-old Dutchman who disappeared yesterday in the waters of Lake Como near Menaggio has been found. Mattheus Gosseling had jumped from the boat he had rented with his three children to help his eldest son, 16, who had had difficulty in the water.
The boy was saved thanks to a man who was paddleboarding with his son and grabbed him by the arm while the man disappeared.
The search began immediately and resumed today by the firefighters and the Coast Guard, also with the assistance of divers from the 5th Coast Guard Submarine Unit, who arrived from Genoa for deep-sea searches.
