Surprise visit by Kimbal Musk , Elon's younger brother, to Palazzo Chigi . Wearing a cowboy hat, which he usually wears, Kimbal Musk entered the government headquarters yesterday around 4.30 pm together with Andrea Stroppa , the Italian representative of the Tesla and SpaceX boss, and Veronica Berti , Andrea Bocelli's wife .
"We accompanied him on a tour of various ministries to understand how it works, we have a project ," explained Veronica Berti, without going into details, however.
The most prestigious stop on this mini-tour of ministries was a meeting with the Minister of Culture, Alessandro Giuli (with Giorgia Meloni there was only a quick handshake in the corridor) and it immediately turned into a political case.
The Democratic Party, noting "with dismay that Palazzo Chigi seems to have turned into a Musk dependency ", asked, with Irene Manzi, to explain the details of the meeting, to clarify the "mysterious project" that involves the Italian ministries. The same tenor is the word of Enzo Maraio (Psi) who invites Meloni to "bend" even "to Trump and the economic powers that support him", "but without using Palazzo Chigi". "We are not a Trump colony, we demand clarity", Elisabetta Piccolotti of Avs forcefully demands, while Riccardo Magi, from +Europa jokes: "»With Kimbal Musk at Chigi we are at Brothers of America", not failing however to ask "Giuli to clarify in Parliament".
"We only talked about good things," Minister Giuli replied promptly, but avoided going into details: "It's too early to anticipate" anything, "but we're talking about good things. Which concern Italy? Also - he replied -, I can't say more than that or we'll go too far ahead".
Not enough words for the 5 Star parliamentarians in the Culture Commission: "Giuli, as Minister, has the duty to respond and not to make cryptic jokes", they wrote, recalling that Palazzo Chigi is "an institutional headquarters" and "not his home" and that for this reason "he has the obligation to explain publicly what they said, what topics were addressed and what agreements or projects were discussed".
Businessman and activist, Kimbal Musk sits on the board of Tesla and on social media describes himself as a chef, restaurateur, philanthropist and entrepreneur in the food sector. "For more than two decades," his profile on the Tesla website reads, "he has co-founded and invested in companies in the technology, hospitality, entertainment and agriculture sectors. His personal mission is to empower innovators and scale sustainable technologies that help contribute to a happier and healthier future."
