It rains non-stop in Emilia-Romagna, especially in the provinces of Ravenna and Bologna, with landslides, floods, closed roads and suspended railway traffic.

The Region activated the Regional Operations Center 24 hours a day to deal with an event defined as "significant" with 400 interventions by the Fire Brigade in a very few hours. There are two victims: an elderly man, overwhelmed by the waters of the Senio flooded while on a bicycle, while one person died in the collapse of a house in the Bologna area and another is missing.

"We are in constant contact with the Government and the Civil Protection, and we are already working to request the declaration of a state of national emergency: we will do everything necessary to guarantee assistance and support to the people involved, for the damage and consequences of bad weather that has hit our region, in particular Romagna», said the president Stefano Bonaccini.

Meanwhile, the flooded area due to the breaking of the Sillaro embankment in Conselice (Ravenna) has expanded and during the night in Bagnacavallo the flooding of the Lamone in the Boncellino area was reported.

Schools closed in Faenza, Castel Bolognese, Selva and San Martino di Molinella, the territory where the Quaderna overflowed. Over 250 evacuees in the Ravenna area.
