"Putin's architect" accused (in Italy) of having evaded millions of euros

Unfaithful tax return, self-laundering and violation of the code for the protection of cultural heritage.

The Prosecutor of Brescia has entered with these accusations in the register of suspects Lanfranco Cirillo, 63 years old known as the architect of Vladimir Putin and other 44 oligarchs.

According to what was reported by the Giornale di Brescia, from 2013 to 2019 Cirillo would have subtracted a taxable amount of 50 million euros from the tax authorities and laundered the proceeds of the tax evasion.

The Guardia di Finanza has seized works of art by Picasso, Cezanne and De Chirico, as well as a helicopter that the architect himself pilots himself.

"I am surprised that I have to face such a dispute after having actually lived in Russia for over 20 years. I will clarify my position," he commented.
